Did you know you can eat your way to an increased performance run, yes really!

Rich in vitamins B and C and beta-carotene it’s the nitrates in beetroot that improve blood flow and maximise oxygen delivery to your muscles and organs. This in itself naturally increases your bodies ability to deliver great improved results during exercise.


Not a fan of beets? Try juicing them and mixing the juice with apple juice and or berry juices or try cutting beetroot into wedges and roasting them as chips.


Other foods that can help increase the oxygen flow around the body as a result of them being high in nitrates are,

Arugula (or Rucola or Rocket), Spinach, Celery, Cress, Lettuce, Cabbage, Turnips Broccoli, Carrots, Bok Choy, Chard and Parsley.
