If your having trouble keeping your hands out of the sweetie jar, get rid of it and replace it with a colourful assortment of berries. The reds, blues, blacks, and purples provide an array of vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants, and flavour. Because of their size and tangy sweetness, that makes your mouth water, they offer the same “eating sweets” experience. 

It goes without saying that these are also great energy enhancers and unlike confectionery sweets you wont get the sugar crash after you’ve eaten them.

Berries are also low in fruit sugar and may have metabolism-boosting properties, that can reduce weight gain. Eat them on their own or add them to a home made smoothie, DIY muesli or how about a sweet omelette.
